The latest update aims to strengthen the Glanza's position in India's competitive hatchback market. The car continues to share its platform and several mechanical components with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, while offering Toyota's own styling and brand experience.
The new Glanza is available in five variants: E, S, G, V and V (O). Prices start at ₹6.99 lakh, ex-showroom, with the top-end variant priced at up to ₹10.49 lakh.
The facelifted model continues to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz in India's premium hatchback segment.
Toyota has introduced several styling changes to give the Glanza a refreshed appearance. The front end features a redesigned grille, an updated bumper and revised fog-lamp housings. The overall design retains the familiar hatchback silhouette, while the changes help distinguish the new model from its predecessor.
The car also gets two new exterior colour options: Bluish Black and Digital Teal Green. Much of the existing headlamp and tail-lamp design remains unchanged.
One of the most significant updates is the introduction of a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The unit produces approximately 82 bhp and 113 Nm of torque.
Transmission options include a five-speed manual gearbox and an automated manual transmission (AMT). Toyota is also offering a factory-fitted CNG option, including an AMT configuration.
The company claims fuel-efficiency figures of 23.80 kmpl for the petrol manual and 24.77 kmpl for the petrol AMT. The CNG versions offer claimed figures of 33.61 km/kg with the manual transmission and 34.47 km/kg with the AMT. Actual mileage may vary depending on driving conditions and usage.
The updated Glanza receives several additional features aimed at improving everyday comfort and convenience.
Key highlights include:
Ventilated front seats
Wireless smartphone charging
Nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system
Head-up display
Height-adjustable driver seat
Rear air-conditioning vents
USB charging ports
The cabin retains its existing black-and-beige colour scheme and familiar dashboard layout, with the additional equipment enhancing the overall package.
The facelift introduces Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), bringing additional driver-assistance technology to the hatchback. The updated model also offers features such as six airbags, a tyre-pressure monitoring system and a 360-degree camera, depending on the variant and equipment configuration.
These additions expand the Glanza's technology offering and give buyers more safety-related features to consider when choosing a premium hatchback.
The Toyota Glanza facelift will continue to compete against established models such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz.
Its combination of a revised design, a new petrol engine, additional comfort equipment and driver-assistance technology is intended to keep it competitive in the segment.
The 2026 Toyota Glanza facelift brings a range of updates to Toyota's premium hatchback, including a new three-cylinder petrol engine, ventilated seats, wireless charging and Level 2 ADAS.
With prices starting at ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the refreshed model offers buyers an updated mix of technology, comfort and fuel-efficiency options. Its overall appeal will depend on variant-specific features, real-world mileage and how it compares with rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
