Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has entered its second week with a noticeable slowdown in its domestic collections, but the film continues to maintain a strong presence at the worldwide box office.
According to the latest box-office estimates, the Geetu Mohandas-directed action drama earned around ₹3.78 crore on its eighth day in India. This pushed its total domestic net collection to approximately ₹233.41 crore.
The film had an extraordinary start at the box office, collecting more than ₹100 crore net in India on its opening day alone. However, earnings have gradually declined during the weekdays. Despite the slowdown, Toxic remains close to several important milestones as it moves further into its theatrical run.
The film has also benefited considerably from its overseas performance. After a strong first week, its worldwide collection has moved beyond the ₹315 crore mark, underlining Yash’s popularity across international markets.
Toxic features Yash in the lead, with Nayanthara and Kiara Advani among the prominent members of the cast. While the movie has received mixed reactions from critics and audiences, its opening numbers and star power have helped it make a significant impact at the box office.
With the second weekend approaching, the big question now is whether Toxic can regain momentum and push its domestic earnings towards the ₹250 crore net mark. A strong weekend could give the film another boost and help extend its theatrical run.
